About Terrence J. Hurrie, Esq.
Terrence “T.J.” Hurrie is an experienced attorney representing individuals, businesses, and property owners across Cape Cod, the Islands, and Southeastern Massachusetts in matters involving zoning and land use, real estate disputes, personal injury, commercial litigation, consumer protection under Chapter 93A, estate planning, and estate and trust administration.
As a former prosecutor and longtime Falmouth Zoning Board Chair, T.J. brings a unique combination of litigation skill, municipal insight, and practical problem-solving to every case. His background in both public service and private practice allows him to navigate local regulatory boards, courts, and state agencies with ease while helping clients achieve results through clear strategy and grounded advocacy.
T.J.’s land use and zoning practice includes representing homeowners, developers, and neighborhood groups before zoning boards, planning boards, and conservation commissions. He has successfully challenged and defended special permits, variances, and enforcement actions in Land Court and Superior Court, and has helped clients resolve complex property and permitting disputes involving environmental regulations, wetlands, and coastal development.
In his civil litigation practice, T.J. handles personal injury, real estate, and business disputes at all stages of litigation, from pre-suit negotiation to trial and appeal. He has obtained favorable outcomes in Massachusetts District, Superior, and Appeals Courts, as well as in the U.S. District Court. His work has been recognized for securing double damages and attorneys’ fees under the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act.

T.J. lives on the upper Cape with his wife, son, and two cats. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, golfing, off-roading on local beaches, and watching hockey.
